Shell to implement NRX Asset Hub to support maintenance best practices and to help achieve Safety and Maintenance Integrity and Assurance Goals in upstream.

TORONTO, CANADA – March 5, 2012 –NRX announced today that NRX Asset Hub has been selected as the newest addition to Shell’s Upstream Enterprise Application Portfolio following a successful 18 month pilot project in the Kashagan Oilfield. This investment is further evidence of Shell’s strong commitment to Safety and Mechanical Integrity and Assurance.

Asset Hub will be used to manage the handover, readiness, and sustainment of maintenance master data for new capital projects and the remediation and sustainment of this data for facilities already in production. The NRX Asset Hub will provide Shell with a centralized enterprise Maintenance Reference Library that contains validated maintenance information and best practices from across the upstream organization. The value of the Maintenance Reference Library increases exponentially as each site’s data is added. By ensuring that maintenance personnel have immediate access to complete and validated maintenance data, Shell strengthens its ability to substantially reduce business and safety risk and improve mechanical integrity and assurance across the organization.
